I've heard of Dir en Grey my friends on Teri love them. I like the song Hydra by them.
I like the song Girlfriend too.
I prefer SNSD, Cibo Matto, and Morning Musume over Dir En Grey but it's because they have upbeat music and such.

If you like them then you probably have heard of Hide (X Japan), Maximum the Hormone, Yoshiki, Moi dix Mois, Malice Mizer (They're both visuel kei so you should like their music), and L'Arc en Ciel.
Gackt is a good singer but I don't know much about him. Like I said I listen to Jpop and Kpop mainly but I have a taste in almost all musical genres. So it's not all the time.
Kaoru is my friends' favorite as well. I liked them when they were VK, their clothes were amazing, now they seem to just be rockers and not visual rockers.

Yeah i've heard of them, i like alot of the stuff they play too. Dir en Grey is the first band i can accually say i like though. usally its just one or two songs and thats it. not with theses guys.
