| I know nothing of the Japanese language except that desu is a confirmatory word with no English equivalent. And that you use desu as a formal way and da as an informal way. And if I remember correctly deshita means am, datte/datta means was. Or at least that's what they closely relate to in the English. I would like to learn Japanese ONLY to read unreleased Manga that is only found in Japan that or games unreleased in America. I've seen SO many great MMORPGs/Mangas that are ONLY in Japanese and it has highly pissed me off. A Didigmon RPG game, I wanted to find an english patch but couldn't. And since I don't know Japanese I couldn t patch the game's system anyway. But I don't want to learn Japanese that bad, I'd end up slacking off or just getting bored with it. I want to learn German and French. But I have already tried French and found it to be annoying. But only because my second French teacher was a complete ass and hypocrite. I'm attempting German now. Haha. Hey guys, here is a site that will further your learning of whichever language you want, including Japanese. It's where I am learning my German and it's free. Thought I'd share it. xD | |

| Oh no I'm good. I quit French and am learning German. I think they're stages I go through. When I was thirteen I wanted to learn Japanese just to know it, then up until fifteen I wanted to learn French, and now I want to learn German. I downloaded the program and am learning the basic phrases.
Let's see what I can remember without looking it up. Auf Wiedersehen (off vee-der-zen) means goodbye I believe. Guten Morgen (goo-en moor-gen) means good morning while Guten Abend (Goo-en ahh-bent) is good evening. Danke (Dahn-kuh) means thank you. Crap I think "Es tut mir leid" is I'm sorry while "Gut, und Ihnen?" is "How are you?"
Yeah I think I got some. There are a lot more that I need to study. Just began yesterday. :c | |
