| I have a string of WiPs. One of them is being edited, one is being written, and the other three are being vaguely outlined. They're all part of my series, The Adonian Chronicles. Basically, the series is about the emergence and rise of revolutionaries in the country of Adonia. In the first book, The Surface of the Deep (tSotD), the rebels begin rallying and, by the end of the book, they succeed in taking over. The first book centers around Valerian and Astra, twins who were hidden in our world when they were babies. The revolutionaries saw great power in them, and hid them so that they could be used in the war against the king. The second book, Shattered Truth, focuses around Maia, the daughter of one of the revolutionaries who dies in tSotD. It begins a bit after the takeover, and follows the events leading up to the deteriorating of what little government rose out of the revolution. The next three are being very vaguely outlined, but I can tell you a bit. The third book, currently untitled, centers around Astra and a character named Leander for the most part, and shows the complete collapse of Adonia. The fourth, untitled still, shows the rise of the new regime. The fifth book I haven't really thought on yet. I'm working on it. Here's a blurb for tSotD: Eighteen-year-old twins Valerian and Astra are some of the most powerful fighters the Adonian resistance movement has ever seen. Capable of killing with a single thought, they have been charged with infiltrating the palace of the corrupt king and emerging with his head on a plate, clearing the way for the rebels to take over and reform the flawed government.
But, hidden away on Earth seventeen years ago with a guardian to protect them, Valerian and Astra know nothing of their powers, their homeworld, or the revolution. When the leader of the resistance movement comes crashing into their lives to inform them of their true heritage, they believe that following him back to the strange, new world will lead them home and to the family they've never met.
Instead, they are led into the heart of the bloodiest revolution that the world has ever seen. They are made to master their violent powers and forced to fight for a cause they don't believe in, with the threat of execution if they don't comply. All they ever wanted were answers, but the path to their enlightenment is slick with the blood of innocents--their family, their friends, and their country.So whatcha guys think? Sound interesting?

| It sounds very interesting. Question. If you can't think of what to do in the 5th book, why not stop at four? I think the story line sounds like it would do good in 4 books. I'm not sure why, it just does. Then again, i've written a few series books so maybe i can judge it well. Not sure. All i know is It sounds good and I'm quiet sure i'll work out.
If you need any help with titles post more about the books you need help with!

| ^ Well, I have a basic idea. And, going by my loose series-arc outline, I'm going to need it. I just can't explain it very well yet, since I'm still working. Know what I mean? When I get a clearer idea, I'll definitely be sure to post again. | |

| Hey, Akurei! (I love saying that because it rhymes). As you know, my WIP is called Seasons of Midnight and is intended to be a trilogy. The story is told in the eyes of Violet Moone, an eighteen-year-old high school graduate, as her life takes a turn for the worse (or the better, she has yet to decide). Although it's fantasy-romance, the romance doesn't come in until the second book, but it's there. ^^ I'm thinking of having it be called The Midnight Chronicles, but only because it sounds cool. I haven't actually thought up titles for the other two novels in the series, so I'm not going to bother with things like titles of the trilogy, yet. ^_^;
Here is a synopsis: High school graduate Violet Moone discovers that she would rather be back in high school than dealing with the aspects of the world around her, things that she never knew. The idea of demons and sorcery existing seemed to be things only seen in movies and fantasy novels, but Violet sees things that change all of that. When she possess the Artemis Pendant, a necklace she was given at birth, is wanted by demons all over the world, how can she protect it? How can she protect herself? Yet, it isn’t easy to see who is a demon and who isn’t, who is an enemy and who isn’t, since demons resemble humans and everyone seems friendly at first glance. Perhaps Violet’s “you don’t know a book by its cover” theory will finally be abolished. With the help of her new supernatural friends, will she be able to protect herself while keeping it all a secret from everyone else? Will she ever be able to find her way out of the darkness, out of midnight, and make it to morning?
Though I'm having trouble at one part. At one point, Violet wants to completely get sorcery and demons and other aspects out of her life and just go back to living a normal life. The way the story is going, Violet would never see Kaden again, but I can't have that happen! I can't think of anything that would cause her to have to return back. >_<; Luke (another character, friend of Kaden) had given Violet his phone number and told her to call him if anything else happened (with the pendant), but she threw it in the trash when she got home. I was planning on having it so once she needs the number, her father threw out the trash in her bedroom. But I can't think of a reason she would need to call him or how she would ever see Kaden & Co. again! Ideas, Aku? D:

| When she possess the Artemis Pendant, a necklace she was given at birth, is wanted by demons all over the world, how can she protect it? -- fix this line. it doesn't continue the way it should.
Plenty.
Create a new enemy. someone who has been in search of the pendent since it was first created. Someone with the other half.

| Got it. ^^
Oh, Damien has the other half. I wasn't sure about introducing him so early though. But yes, that would definitely be a moment where she needs Luke's assistance. >w< Maybe I should include him now, though. He could be curious to why his pendant suddenly changed color.

| Well, her mother died giving birth to her. Her father doesn't know the mysteries the pendant holds. But I don't think her father would kick her out. He's not that type of person. :/ And plus, I don't think she would ever tell him. | |

| I'm plowing through with my rewrites on the last third of my WiP, and I want to get it ready for querying by June. I'm fairly certain I can do it...if I actually stay on top of things. That's been my one problem, what with all the projects and tests I've had lately. But since I'm on break and it's the last quarter of the school year, I think I may finally have some time to devote to writing and the like. | |
